简要介绍: | Geochemistry is the science that uses the tools and principles of chemistry to explain the mechanisms behind major geological systems such as the Earth's crust and its oceans. The realm of geochemistry extends beyond the earth, encompassing the entire solar system and has made important contributions to the understanding of a number of processes including mantle convection, the formation of planets and the origins of granite and basalt. The text Geochemistry provides a comprehensive introduction to the eld of geochemistry. First chapter discusses the use of geochemical fossils as indicators of thermal maturation. Element geochemical analysis of the contribution of Aeolian sand to suspended sediment in desert stream ash oods has been described in second chapter. The aim of third chapter is to discuss the mineralogical and geochemical mechanisms responsible for development of manganese ore in the Buyukmahal area. Fourth chapter presents detailed eld observations, mineralogical alteration assemblages, textural relationships, uid inclusions, and geochemical data on the ore bodies. In fth chapter, we deal with crustal evolution of a Paleozoic intra-oceanic island-arc-back-arc basin system. |
